1. About ProFindr
ProFindr is an online marketplace that connects homeowners with local contractors. We provide the platform — we are not a party to any agreement between homeowners and contractors, and we do not employ, endorse, or guarantee the work of any contractor listed on our platform.
ProFindr is free for homeowners. Contractors pay a flat subscription fee for access to the platform.
2. Homeowner Terms
- You may browse contractors and post jobs without creating an account.
- When you post a job, your contact information is shared with subscribed contractors in your area who match your service request.
- You are solely responsible for vetting and hiring any contractor. ProFindr does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any contractor's work.
- Reviews you submit must be truthful and based on your genuine experience. False or defamatory reviews may be removed.
- You may not use ProFindr to solicit contractors for illegal services.
3. Contractor Terms
- You must be a legitimate, licensed (where required) business or sole proprietor to create a listing.
- Your subscription grants you access to the platform for the billing period. It does not guarantee leads, jobs, or revenue.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile information, including your license number, service area, and services offered.
- You may not create fake reviews, contact homeowners who have not posted jobs, or use the platform for spam.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing date.
4. Reviews Policy
ProFindr's review system is built on a core principle: reviews are permanent. Contractors cannot pay to remove, hide, or dispute reviews except in cases of verified fraud or Terms of Service violation.
- Only verified homeowners (those who have had contact with a contractor through ProFindr) may leave reviews.
- Reviews must be honest and based on real experiences.
- ProFindr reserves the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, or violate these terms.
- Contractors may report reviews they believe violate these terms. ProFindr will investigate within 10 business days.
5. Payments & Refunds
- All contractor subscriptions are processed through Stripe. ProFindr never stores your payment card details.
- Subscriptions are billed at the start of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or annually).
- You may cancel at any time. Your listing remains active until the end of your paid period.
- We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. Contact support@profindr.com within 30 days of your first payment.
- Refunds are not available for partial billing periods after the 30-day window.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use ProFindr to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute platform data without permission
- Attempt to circumvent ProFindr's systems or security measures
- Solicit contractors or homeowners off-platform to avoid ProFindr's terms
7. Limitation of Liability
ProFindr is a platform, not a contractor. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of work performed by contractors found through our platform. Any dispute between a homeowner and a contractor is between those two parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProFindr's total liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify active users via email when we make material changes. Continued use of ProFindr after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
